Hello world!

Filed under: Scratch — Joe Casella @ 6:33 am

It took a while, but I finally figured out the best way to (re)launch this blog:

This is how you say “Hello World” in Scratch, a great new language for teaching kids to program. Someday our children may look on it with the same fondness we remember writing

10 PRINT “Hello World”

My son and I have been working with Scratch for the last three years and it’s the language I recommend to parents with elementary school kids who want to start programming.

For more Hello World fun, the ACM page contains about 200 versions; but none in Scratch! Maybe I’ll submit one.
